How Do I Place My Preorder with KAUTE?
KAUTE is launching its first product via a preorder sale. More specifically, KAUTE is launching its first product via a “founder-funded” preorder sale.

How do I begin the preorder process?
Create a KAUTE account or order as a guest
We accept orders from logged in customers or from guests. If you choose to create a KAUTE account, you can check your order status any time by visiting your order history under My Account.
Check your billing and shipping address
Please check your billing and shipping address when placing an order as KAUTE is unable to reroute packages once they have shipped. Domestic orders require a verified U.S. billing address. We can ship to P.O. Box and military addresses, but we do not ship to freight forwarder addresses. KAUTE reserves the right to cancel orders that do not meet these conditions.
Acknowledge your order is a preorder
By placing an order for a KAUTE preorder product you are acknowledging that you understand that the product is not yet made, nor ready to ship, and it will ship after production is complete, at an estimated date.
How do I pay for my preorder?
We collect 100% of funds upon checkout for your preorder. We accept major debit and credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover (includes Elo, JCB and Union Pay) and Diner Club (includes their debit card).
Because this is a preorder sale, we are not able to offer the use of accelerated checkouts like Apple Pay, Google Pay, Meta Pay, PayPal, ShopPay or Venmo. For this same reason, we are not able to offer any “Buy Now, Pay Later” installment options from companies like Afterpay or Klarna.
Prices displayed on the website are exclusive of taxes. When you proceed to purchase your order, sales tax (where applicable) will be calculated on the total merchandise value and displayed in checkout.
How and when is my preorder processed, confirmed and delivered?
Preorder Processing Orders will be processed in the order in which your preorder is received by KAUTE. Orders are processed every day during a preorder sale.
Preorder Confirmation Once you place your order and your form of payment is authorized, you will receive an order confirmation with your order number. If you have a customer account with us, you can track the status of all of your orders in your account. When your order ships out at a later date, you will receive a tracking number.
Preorder Delivery In general, small batch production for preorders can take 6-12 weeks, depending upon the quantity of the product, factory timelines, supply chain functionality and more. Our product will typically ship out from Victor, ID within 5-10 days of us receiving the delivery from our production partner based in Los Angeles, CA. Our shipments will be made Monday – Friday, excluding holidays, unless otherwise noted. A more “reasonable” estimate of our delivery window will be posted on our product page, and if any delays arise, updated in a timely manner.
Can I change or cancel my preorder?
Preorder Change or Cancellation
If you want to modify or cancel your order, please contact us immediately at orders@kauteco.com with your order number.
Depending on the estimated timeframes and store policies listed below (and elsewhere on our website), we may or may not be able to change or cancel your order:
- Preorder sales window is open (e.g. Days 1-14): Place, and then change or cancel, your preorder. On our product page, you are provided with a “reasonable” estimate of when we will be able to ship out our product.
- Preorder is committed for production (e.g. Days 15-60): Changes to the size or color of your product may or may not be possible depending on the production cutting and sewing schedule. Also, KAUTE communicates any shipping delays (beyond our original shipping date estimate) to you, as soon as “reasonably possible.” In the event of a shipping delay, you have the option to cancel your preorder immediately and receive a full refund.
- Preorder is processed for shipping (e.g. Day 60): All pre-order items are final sale and returns are only available for store credit in the event that you are not satisfied with your order. (However, if we have the inventory available, we are happy to facilitate a product size or color exchange for you.)
